rooms dirty, left over food and condom not cleaned up, stain on duvets, smelly, not quit night or morning trains noise all day long, lack of soul, rude staff, couldn't even have a dump in toilet by someone standing next to it banging on the door "are you a guest in the hotel?" crapy hotel in a trash town.
Hotel is good and at prime location. Just beside back gate of Slough station. Staff's are very friendly and cooperative. But before booking check below points-1. Everyday they are repeating same breakfast menu, one staying long will get bored. 2. No Swimming pool and No Gym
The Holiday Inn Express provides a very convenient stay just out the back entrance of Slough railway station. Simple furniture which is perfectly adequate makes it good for a single night or maybe two away on work. There is a chair, desk, light, kettle and sofa. The TV is about 30" at a guess. Bigger than the small Premier Inn ones but smaller than the new big Premier Inn ones. The windows are triple glazed that keeps much of the train noise out. The bathroom is the type with a single door the either closes across the toilet or the whole room. There is only a shower, no bath. Breakfast is from 6:30 which is good. However there is NO plug socket by the bed for charging a phone, what is this the 90s? This looses them a star.
Here for a day , very helpful staff, convenient location right next to the train station, nice vibe to the ground floor cafe, plenty of seating while you wait, the train station multi-storey adds needed extra parking spaces. Easy to drive to and from. Meeting rooms are well equipped, too.
Handy if you need to stay overnight in the area but limited parking meant I had to park on in Slough station instead for 12 overnight. Clean hotel but very small. From our room we had a great view of the many rail lines going through Slough station, get a room with this view if you like trains. Due to lack of parking probably would not go back.
