The venue is nice, the car park is quite large however staff could have been friendlier.
It was not a very pleasant experience. I would recommend the Indian food but not the stay. The food service was absolutely excellent, very polite and charming server, Indian food mmmmmmmmm! Stayed for a day and that was quite enough.
They let someone else book in under my name. But we got an extra room for free. 1.5 hrs waiting for our meal which 2 out of 3 arrived but mine was not avaliable. To be fair the food that did arrive was hot and very tasty. Spoke to manager who gave us a bottle of wine and the meals for free. Room was very hot and a brick wall view from the window. Bed very soft and shower head had water coming out but not where it should have come from.
I stayed here for 1 night but it felt like a complete holiday! The hotel is set in a beautiful country park (a shock), the building itself is opulent in the english stately home tradition. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was outstandingly good, particularly for fans of Indian cuisine. The rooms were decently appointed, clean, with a comfortable bed. Parking was good and access to major routes trouble free. A very pleasing experience!
We had a wedding arranged a last week and prior to the wedding we tasted the food to be served on the special day. The food served on the wedding day was completely different and the word awful to be a too lighter word. The hall was good but I would recommend you provide your own caterer. You have been warned!
