I have used this garage for a few years and always been happy. This year, however I was let down badly. They lost one wheel nut and the key for my tyres. They had replaced the brake pads and should have returned the nuts and keys to my glove box but two days later when I was having new tyres replaced I found the key and one nut missing. I 'phoned Nick to ask him where they were and he denied all knowledge. He said he would look in his workshop on Monday but needless to say he did not get back to me. I have not been able to fit my tyres and now have to buy a locking key before I can do so. He also returned my car in a filthy state, did not give me a full breakdown of the cost of replacement parts nor did he show me the brake pads he had replaced. When he picked up my car there was a 4" crack in my windscreen which had been there for about year and when the car was returned the crack had spread across the whole windscreen. He had put a lot of unnecessary miles on the clock which he said was necessary to make sure he had cured another fault. The MOT certificate also said the CV boot kit needed replacing asap but he did not tell me about this until later. I was able to get a replacement myself within a day and now I have to find someone else to fit it. Clearly he couldn't be bothered at the time . I don't know if he is going through some sort of crisis but I didn't feel I had any confidence in his workmanship. Had he had the decency to call me to let me know he hadn't found my wheelnut and locking key and maybe offer to help me get a new set, I probably would not be writing this review and would have just put it down to his having a bad day. The fact also that he was quite rude to me and I felt he took advantage. Very disappointing.
After a great experience last year, unfortunately we were let down this year.I booked an MOT and service a month before, and on the day was told that it was cancelled due to issues with another car being repaired that day.There was no communication of this, and it took several calls to get through to find out what was going on.This left me in a very tricky situation, with my MOT expiring and imminent travel.Appreciate that there are issues from time to time, but I felt it was unacceptable to just dump other bookings on the same day (and the only offer was to do the work on another day, which was unsuitable).
Excellent service - car was collected and returned for service promptly. Work undertaken was to a high standard. Definitely recommend without any hesitation.
They do exactly what they say on their website. Nick simply fulfills the promises he made on the website and am well pleased with their work and will continue to use their services when required. Honest and reliable garage services - combination hard to find these days.
I had a great experience at this garage. Nick was very helpful and the rates were reasonable. I felt like he was trustworthy and honest, which as a woman who doesn't know anything about cars is something of a relief! Could not recommend more!
