After 18 months of refurbishments, the centre re opens with High hopes. Within the first few months, there are massive craters in the weight room floors. You were making repairs for 18 months and no one anticipated that weights might drop the floor! What a joke! Charging members 40/month and cant even sort out making repairs. The gym has been going back and forth with contractors for 4 months and still have made no repairs. All they do is bring out a white board and update members with more false hope. They have now taken all the weights over 20kg out of they gym and now the weights area has been closed longer than the gyms been open, leaving members fighting over weights like game of thrones. This is appalling, Everyone Active have ruined the leisure centre. General hygiene and housekeeping is non existent, this is the worst gym ive ever been to and I will no longer use here again. Charging premium prices yet delivery mediocre service. Absolute rip off. If I could give you less than one star I would because this gym is just utter trash.
Been trying to book yoga class for weeks & weeks...first few it was always fully booked but this last week or so I cannot even attempt to book online as system wont allow me. Says theres a query on my account. Been trying to ring for days and can never get through and now cannot even find an email address to email them.
It's changed alot. If I were to give it a rating before the whole refurbishment it would be a 4/5. However, you now pay more than double the price for a membership, they took away the flume and it's almost seems like they spent 7 million pounds on nothing. The old staff are really nice. But, some staff can be extremely rude.
The quality of the fitness classes and experience of the instructors is good, but its let down by the nasty surroundings and horrendous customer service. They continuously cancel classes, yet they dont let their members know. All it takes is a phone call, but they cant be bothered to do that. Most of the staff at the front desk usually have no idea whats going on and are not very helpful, or friendly. Its been open a couple of months since re-opening and the place is already a pigsty! The fitness studio, spinning studio, gym, toilets and changing rooms never get cleaned. The floors are absolutely filthy; you dont want to put your water bottle/accessories on the floor, let alone your body whilst exercising in the studios. Literally, the exact same pieces of litter are in the exact same places two weeks later in the spinning and fitness studios. Its such a shame because it looked excellent in the first week of opening and the facilities and classes available are good, the instructors are good, and a couple of the front desk staff are relatively helpful. Ill change the rating to five stars once they decide to start cleaning on a regular basis and improve their communication and customer service. P.s Dont go to the toilets. Ive seen cleaner public toilets in India!
Was a member before the refurbishment and the changes made are beyond my comprehension. Theyve removed the amazing fun slide, theyve in-filled the old Jacuzzi and built a new smaller one where the slide used to be, theyve made the steam room smaller - it can barely fit three people making it very uncomfortable and awkward, theyve painted everything grey which it makes a very dull atmosphere, the changing rooms are completely filthy that I get the shivers thinking about it, the staff have no idea what theyre doing I walked in for free as they couldnt work out how to give me a pass, won't be coming back again, the one star is for the upgrade to the size of the gym facilities, theyve completely ruined the spaces that was available to them to expand but instead created worse facilities
