Last time I've been there in December 2017 it was a disaster. Lights went off several times, the glass fell off and there was a whole in a ice rink where puck got stuck few times. This year I went there again and I was impressed. Ice-rink is looking amazing. It's warm and nice in there.
Clip and climb session at 2.30 on 13/1/19 Lousy staff no enthusiasm. I really wonder why they had just 2 staff member for a group. At first I felt it was really unorganised as staff came 2-3 minutes late and a staff member swap and they started to give safety equipment (harness) to everyone which nearly took 19 minutes. Then they walk around to see video about safety and rules. So clip n climb started at 2.58pm. Everyone stood next to the climbing equipment and waited for the staff to give them a go ahead. And once the child come down, child has to put their hands up so they can be released from the harness..And some children just waited to with hands in air..It was all just wait, wait, wait... I would advised the management to just think over the fun bit as well..and employ few more staff members climb who have enthusiasm and friendly .. because we have been to few other clip n climb session and this was not worth it. Few other parents felt same about it... When you have a children around the age of 8 and above you can show them in a video how to harness and give a quick check to make sure they have done it right and help the little ones. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes briefing.. bring in the staff membersI have never done any negative feedback or review before.. but it deserve it to be addressed
You register your car on the machine by the reception and after two weeks you still get a parking charge ticket for 100. Absolutely appaling! You think u are doing a good job for taking your kids for two hours of fun just to get slapped with a parking fine. 60 is not a joke let alone 100.
The new Ice area is huge meaning that you have plenty of space to practice your skills. The climbing walls in the entrance area offer a fun cheap activity afterwards or as an alternative to skating. The cafe is basic but great for a snack.
Easy to find. Helpful staff. Clean toilets. Big ice rink for everyone. Cost is reasonable, penguin available with a deposit. Lockers available for hire 3 hours for a pound. Definitely will go again.
