the learning curve? nah, the dull boring useless curve of all that's mostly filled up with old expired books from the old library and it's a hang out place outside for druggies and crack heads, not to mention the smell of urine before you enter the buidling, oh lovely.
Liked the environment and helpful staff. Very less IT related books.
People who study normally need to drink to coffee, tea, water.Go and check out Starbucks, Costa ...The fact that drinks allowed on the 2 upper floors does not make the Library study friendly.I would so much preferred not to have carpets instead saying not allowing drinks in order to protect the carpets.
Internet is always busy or booked they should have more computers.
I visited the library today for a book after I finished school and obviously I have eyes and read the sign saying no eating upstairs so like I'm not dumb I don't eat there. I went there as I checked online if they have the specific book, which they did. I looked but couldn't find it so I asked a member of staff but before I said anything she rudely interrupted me saying you're not allowed that shake upstairs so I tell her, I'm not drinking it as I've read the sign. She continues and says no go and finish it or dispose of it. No manners like, please. So obviously I'm pissed so I chuck it away. Meanwhile she fetches my book and hands it to me like I'm some dirt of the ground. This library is meant to be for youngsters and youngsters eat in case u didn't know and youngsters also have eyes FYI. The behaviour of the staff is what's driving young people away and to my knowledge the curve was built to bridge the generation gap but clearly that isn't going to happen if such behaviour continues. How can u make youngsters enthusiastic to learn if the staff isn't enthusiastic themselves. Also I wasn't flattered by the fact that the security guard was staring into my soul. It made me very uncomfortable. Never visiting this library again. And I'm also going to give bad reccomendations to my friends ect. Hope this helped others.
