Been here several times and used to love their halwa puri chana and paya. But now it's way too oily and the quality is not good. But their desi tea is nice even though there's a long wait to have that made as several times in the past they served it once I'd finished my breakfast and the last time they forgot altogether. Theres plenty of choices on their menu and I love their mango lassi
The food is always fantastic, the recent works have also given the place a classier look. They are always very accommodating and helpful. They tend to run on mostly 1 server. Which maybe something worth looking at, he serves the customers, takes all the orders and also takes all the payments. I think it can be difficult thus not allowing him to give his full attention to the job at hand. Over never left having been disappointed truly 5 stars for what they are.
We love coming to this cafe, it's become a weekend ritual for brunch! They have a great selection on their menu ranging from a full English breakfast (halal) to traditional South Asian breakfast specials such as parathas, halwa puri etc. Highly recommend however if your looking to eat in you can expect long waiting times over the weekend as they're extremely busy
Looking at some of the poorer reviews, it seems you guys may have ended up at a different cafe! I've been coming to Salt Hill Cafe with my family for YEARS. The parking spaces are owned by the Cafe so they reserve them for customers (rather than general park goers). On a weekday you can park next to the Cafe and on the weekends, when it gets really busy, you sometimes have to park in the 10 pin bowling car park which is a 2min walk away. It's a family environment with couples and larger families coming all the time. It is NOT a hang out for men (that's just rediculous) and my wife has never been ogled at. You can even call up before time and reserve a table and they also do phone orders (whether picking up or eating in). In recent weeks the service has actually gotten much better with food arriving v quickly. We tend to feed the kids and then let them go play in the playground (which is literally right next to the Cafe). We can keep an eye on the kids while we enjoy our breakfast. Win-win.
Excellent service, food is fab!! Loved it, we go nearly every week. Staff is very welcoming and polite. Very friendly with children and are well taken care of. Definitely worth a visit.
