High street Wetherspoon in Slough. Nice internal layout with a real fire (gas powered) and good food and drinks at excellent prices. All round it's a good place for a weekday lunch.
Staff very friendly and helpful had lunch there and food was of a great standard set in the centre of slough was busy in the with friendly customers all enjoying there lunchtime drink and food. Assistant manager behind the bar was friendly and helpful.
Generally an excellent pub that serves reasonably good food for the price. I have previously rated the breakfasts as excellent despite the black puddings tending to be a bit on the hard side. But when they seem to vary between hard and rock hard, I need to say something.However, today, I actually asked for the black pudding to be fresher, or at least not like a rock hard frisbee. Amazingly, I got it as requested so I am very impressed. However, the request was met with a rather unexpected response from a bottle blond Polish lass which I was not overly enamoured with. Rather than an apology and attempt to see if my request can be honoured, I was told I would get it how it came out as it was fried. Well, I can fry black pudding and still get it soft on the inside... and Im no breakfast chef. So, sorry, but only 3 stars this time as no one even asked me how my breakfast was this morning. Generally, the staff are amazingly good in here and very friendly, but that wasnt the case today which was kind of disappointing.
Best wings ever!Great food very low prices. Superb atmosphere! Instead of going to McDonald's or burger king you can come in here have a better meal and a pint for the same price. Love it here. The staff is nice and a fun place to hang out.
If youre packing a few kids in tow and from out of town this place is the absolute best joint to get your eats and drink on! We were in Slough visiting a friend and the tourist areas were killing us. The Moon & Spoons is hands down the best place to take your kids! The food is good and beers are exactly what a parent needs after a long day of walking around London and looking for somewhere to feed the herd. You wont be disappointed. Get your arse in here!
