Cakes are very fresh and tasty. The coconut cake with victoria sponge is the best! So light and fluffy!
Got bought a selection of cake slices as a Thank You from a friend. My family and I agreed that they were the nicest,freshest, lightest and most delicious cakes we have ever eaten. Truly remarkable who needs eggs in cakes? Not us from now on.

Very disappointing! Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday, well in advance and paid for. Turned up on the day and specified time to collect with the reciept, informed the cake had been already collected by two guys, asked them who they were and the woman at the till was getting funny with me asking me to tell her who they were!!! Apparently they had given my daughters cake to some one else, apparently they had checked the cake and were happy with the name and age written on the cake. They tell you when you order, they wont hand over any cake without the reciept, name confirmation etc but in this instance they were happy to give a random this cake without checking anything. The woman at the till accused me a few times of lying about collecting the cake, lol who has time to waste and stress and why would anyone fleece an extra cake????!!!! Asked them what compensation i would get as i had 10 kids at home including my child waiting to cut HER cake, i was told "im willing to make you a cake" !!! I had paid for a cake they gave away to someone else but shes "willing" So guys if you order a cake and pay for it with these guys dont automatically assume that gives you the right to recieve what you pay for! Finally got the cake, ruined the birthday party and cake tasted foul! Wont be going back! Stick to Pauls Bakers further up the road
I always come here to buy fresh slices, but I find recently the slices tasted stale like one of the Black Forest slice the middle layer of choc cake was very dry and no flavour of cherry inside like they used to have, I also noticed the cream inside did not taste like the usual thick creamy fresh cream they use, it tasted very much like nothing more like watery than cream. I feel as if they have changed the "fresh cream" they use inside the individual cake slices. Very disappointing as they normally have lovely cakes. Whatever they have done recently needs to be improved fast. I am a regular customer so I have noticed the change, might look the same but the taste is a huge disappointment.
